The Druids of Sassafras Grove, ADF invite you to join us for our Autumn Equinox Rite to be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022. The rite will be held outside at Lakeview Grove in North Park.
All Pagan and Pagan-friendly people are invited. Children are welcome to attend!
Arrive anytime after 1 pm. Ritual Briefing at 1:30 The ritual will begin promptly at 2:00 PM. Snacks and socializing to follow.
This year’s rite will honor the Goddess Marzyana, the Polish Goddess of harvest and grain.
Six months ago at the Spring Equinox, our omen advised us to make preparations so we were not caught unawares; to examine what we have to give and what we need; and to be adaptable-go with the flow, and see where it leads.
As the Wheel turns and we prepare to celebrate another equinox, we take time to reflect on the changes that have occurred over the past season. What have we gathered to ourselves? What have we given away? What have we transformed? What have we planted? What have we harvested? Where did the season lead us?
Before the rite, folks will have an opportunity to add a ribbon of thankfulness for a personal harvest to a wreath that will be used as our community offering to Marzyana. It can be actual harvest from your garden, a new craft or skill you have learned or improved, or a spiritual, emotional or psychological transformation.
What to Bring if you choose:
* A personal offering to Marzyzana
* A chair/blanket if you need to sit during the ritual
* A snack to share following the rite. (We won’t do a full pot luck)
Our events are free and open to the community but we do rely on donations from those who are able to help us cover the cost of space rental and supplies.
