Winter Solstice/Saturnalia Rite

Winter Solstice Rite

North Park Ranch House

Sunday, December 22

Doors open 2 pm

Ritual begins promptly at 3:30 pm

Potluck immediately follows rite.

Celebrate the end of the year’s Wasteland as we honor Saturn, Roman Lord of Wealth and Fertility. We will call upon Sol Invictus, the Invincible Sun to travel with us through the turning wheel and lend his light to guide us through the darkness of Winter.

All Pagan and Pagan-friendly people are invited to attend.  Children are welcome

Seasonal crafts for kids and adults will be available before the rite.

We are asking folks to bring a cookie, piece of candy, piece of fruit, or other favorite holiday treat to add to our final community offering to Saturn.

What to bring:

– Personal Praise Offerings to Saturn and/or Sun.  Suggestions include fruit, red or yellow flowers, grain, or other symbols of the season’s wealth.

– A cookie, piece of candy, piece of fruit, or other favorite holiday treat to add to our community offering.

– A dish to share at potluck following the rite (if you are able)

– A chair if you’d like more comfort than a picnic bench

– Feast Gear (to help us cut down on the waste of disposable plates, etc)

– Donations for FosterLove (see below for more info)

Alcohol is permitted on-site for this event.  Per park rules, no glass containers.

If you choose to drink alcohol, please do so responsibly. The North Park Ranch House is located at 10198 Kummer Rd, Allison Park, PA 15101

Our rites and events are free and open to the community, but we do rely on the monetary donations of those who are able to defray the cost of space rental and ritual supplies. Support your local Druids!
