Join the members of Sassafras Grove in sharing the magic of live performance at our Bardic Circle. We offer a beginner-friendly setting where you can share songs, poetry, and stories with the group. Everyone who wishes to share is welcome to do so, or you can simply listen and enjoy. 

All pieces are welcome, but we are encouraging pieces from the US. American folk music, songs of resistance, workers songs and union songs, historical ballads, etc!

Moonstones is located at 2892 West Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA  15216, on the corner of Potomac Avenue and West Liberty. The shop is located a few blocks from Potomac Station on the Red Line T line and right on the 41 Bower Hill bus line.

Plant a Tree! Over the next year, Sassafras Grove will be collecting cash donations to be used to plant trees through the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of the Earth Mother. For just $2.00 we can plant a tree in a National Forest! So if you have an extra dollar or two, please consider donating, We’ll keep you updated quarterly on the planting progress!

Our events are free and open to the public, but we do rely on the donations of those who are able to defray the cost of space rental and supplies.
