Samhain Ritual to Hades and Persephone

Join Sassafras Grove as we celebrate Samhain with a Hellenic ritual honoring Hades and Persephone. By honoring Hades and Persephone, the King and Queen of the Underworld, we encounter death.  Through this encounter we reflect upon our own mortality and consider how we will be remembered after we are gone.  We aim to leave this ritual with a clearer sense of our life’s purpose so we can more consciously create our legacy.  By encountering death, we reaffirm life.

Please plan to arrive at 6:30 PM for a 7:00 PM start time.

Please bring:

• An offering for Hades and Persephone.
• A snack to share during the post-ritual potluck
• A donation to the Chow Wagon program.

Please note that our hosts do not allow alcohol at this site, even as offerings.

Our rites and events are free and open to the community, but we do rely on the monetary donations of those who are able to defray the cost of space rental and ritual supplies. Support your local Druids!
