Pot Luck Feast follows the ritual (4/4:30 ish)

The Druids of Sassafras Grove, ADF invite you to join us for our Autumn Equinox Rite and Harvest Potluck.

This year’s ritual honors the Dagda.

We honor him as a God of Bounty, whose Cauldron is never empty; a Poet whose Harp plays the tune of the changing seasons; a Warrior and Father whose mighty Club deals both death and re-birth. Celebrate the harvest, the turning of the wheel and the promise of the seed!

The festivities will be held indoors at Parish Hill in North Park. All Pagan and Pagan-friendly people are invited to attend! Children are welcome!

What to Bring:
* Personal offerings to the Dagda. Suggested offerings include gifts from your harvest, food, bread, butter, music, and poetry.

* Something that represents your harvest this year for the community offering.  This can be actual fruit/vegetable/herb from your garden, representation of a new skill you’ve learned, or another success you have achieved over the past season.
* A chair/blanket if you’d like to sit during the ritual
* A dish to share at the potluck following the rite if you are able

*Feast Gear for the potluck to help cut down on disposable plates, cups, etc. (We will have some paper products available if you cannot bring your own.)

While the Dagda enjoys ales in great quantities, we do not have an alcohol permit for this event. Please no alcohol on site. If you wish to make alcoholic offerings, please feel free to do so at home before or after the rite.

Plant a Tree! Over the next year, Sassafras Grove will be collecting cash donations to be used to plant trees through the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of the Earth Mother. For just $2.00 we can plant a tree in a National Forest! So if you have an extra dollar or two, please consider donating. We’ll keep you updated quarterly on the planting progress!  This quarter we have a patron who will match any donations we receive, so now is a great time to donate!
