Moonstones Metaphysical Haven

Creating Ancestor Dolls has been a tradition in our grove for many years. Join us at Moonstones for a discussion and craft your own doll. Supplies for creating a “poppet” will be provided, but feel free to bring any small items you wish to put into or attach to your doll to forge a deeper connection to your ancestor.

Dolls can be created for a specific ancestor of blood or spirit (a parent or mentor), a category of ancestors (female family line, ancient druids) or a hero who has inspired you.

Moonstones is located at 2892 West Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA  15216, on the corner of Potomac Avenue and West Liberty. The shop is located a few blocks from Potomac Station on the Red Line T line and right on the 41 Bower Hill bus line.

Plant a Tree! Over the next year, Sassafras Grove will be collecting cash donations to be used to plant trees through the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of the Earth Mother. For just $2.00 we can plant a tree in a National Forest! So if you have an extra dollar or two, please consider donating, We’ll keep you updated quarterly on the planting progress!

Our events are free and open to the public, but we do rely on the donations of those who are able to defray the cost of space rental and supplies.
