Throughout history, society has created its own Monsters, the Other who represents a cultures fears and insecurity.

Join us for a discussion of Monsters in myth, literature and film and explore their place society.

This workshop will provide insight into and preparation for our Samhain rite which will honor the Unquiet and Forgotten Dead through the images and stories of classic movie monsters.

Moonstones is located at 2892 West Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA  15216, on the corner of Potomac Avenue and West Liberty. The shop is located a few blocks from Potomac Station on the Red Line T line and right on the 41 Bower Hill bus line.

Plant a Tree! Over the next year, Sassafras Grove will be collecting cash donations to be used to plant trees through the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of the Earth Mother. For just $2.00 we can plant a tree in a National Forest! So if you have an extra dollar or two, please consider donating. We’ll keep you updated quarterly on the planting progress!

Our events are free and open to the public, but we do rely on the donations of those who are able to defray the cost of space rental and supplies.
