Sassafras Grove is pleased to be presenting our Summer Solstice rite this year as the closing rite for Pagans in the Park held at Harrison Hills Park (http://www.alleghenycounty.us/parks/harrison-hills/index.aspx).  Our ritual honors the Sun itself and in all its deified manifestations, acknowledging that at Summer Solstice the Sun empowers the seeds within ourselves that we fertilized by our work at Beltane.  We seek the Sun’s blessings upon the work of our greater community as we learn from our past, acknowledge our present, and envision our future.

Bring:

•       Offerings for the Sun itself or the solar deity of your choice
•       A memory of an experience in the Pittsburgh Pagan Community for which you are especially grateful (to write down as part of our group offering)
•       A chair or blanket if you wish to sit during the rite

Come one come all!! Step right up to Pagans in the Park, a fundraiser to benefit 2016 Greater Pittsburgh Pagan Pride Day. This is a family friendly event so bring the kids and your 4 legged kids are welcome too. Rain or Shine.

Harrison Hills Co. Park – The Broken Branch & The Rachel Carson Pavilion.

This will be a day of fun, food, games and prizes carnival style. This year we will be BIGGER than ever! Dozens of crafty vendors will be offering all kinds of unique items, along with some amazing readers & healers on site.

A Silent Auction will close out the day’s festivities.
