First Tuesdays with Sassafras Grove

First Tuesdays:  Lore Meeting

Tuesday, August 4, 2015

Moonstones Metaphysical Haven, Dormont, PA

7:00pm – 9:00pm

Join the members of Sassafras Grove in preparing for our next High Day: Lughnassadh. We will delve into the Irish Mythology of Lugh, the God of All Skills, and we will explore the traditions we have created around our local Goddess of Sovereignty.  Lore meetings can help to deepen our experience of the upcoming High Day, both during our specific Lughnassadh celebration and as we acknowledge the turning wheel in our own lives.

Moonstones is located at 2892 West Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA  15216, on the corner of Potomac Avenue and West Liberty. The shop is located a few blocks from Potomac Station on the Red Line T line and right on the 41 Bower Hill bus line.  For more detailed directions, see Moonstones’ web site at…/Where.html.

Our events are free and open to the community, but we do rely on the donations of those who are able to defray the cost of space rental and supplies. Please remember, even a dollar can help make the difference between having our costs covered and Grove Members having to pay them out of our own pockets. Support your local Druids!

Sassafras Grove also supports Animal Friends’ Chow Wagon Program.  If you can, please consider bringing a package of cat or dog food (canned or dry), cat litter, food/water bowls, treats, or toys for donation to the Program. Donations must be new and unopened. Chow Wagon serves over 1000 local families by distributing food and toys through food pantries. See for more information about Animal Friends.
